Sammy Luebke and Shannan Yates Win in Haines, Alaska

Lib Tech rippers won big during the Haines, Alaska stop of the Swatch Freeride World Tour! Steep terrain and stiff competition have been a pattern in this years FWT but Sammy Luebke and Shannan Yates have been able to come out on top going into the finals.
First up we have Sammy Luebke. He has been killing it all year on his TRS HP and now he received first place yet again in Haines, Alaska on some of the most challenging terrain they have faced yet. Sammy heads into the finals in FIRST PLACE overall and will wear a gold bib during his run. “Everything lined up the way I thought. I’m excited to go to Verbier!”, said Sammy after his 90 point Alaska run…
Next up, Shannan Yates has been leading the pack in the Women’s Snowboarding division on her Travis Rice Pro and won again in Alaska. Shannan was ecstatic after her run, “It feels amazing! I got to ride fantastic Alaskan powder. I had a small section of snow break on me but I was able to ride it out and it didn’t phase me,” said the happy winner. “I am so excited to be here in Alaska it is just a great, great event.” Her full run has not yet been released but you can see highlights in the video below. She heads into the finals in SECOND PLACE overall and has a great shot at taking the top podium!
The Finals take place in Verbier, Switzerland on March 27 – April 4.
