Baldface Lodge – 2014/15 Season Starter: “Powder and Yetis”

Baldface Lodge is a snowboarder founded powder ripping mecca nestled in the Kootenay mountains just a 10 minute helicopter ride from Nelson, BC. Lib Tech partners with Baldface Lodge to bring guests and guides the power of Lib’s award winning Banana and Magne-Traction technology snowboards and NAS. Baldface receives 500+ inches of snow every season, and is known for it’s endless powder with 32,000 acres of rideable terrain (accessible by cat, heli, or snowmobile). In February of 2012 & 2013 Lib Tech rider Travis Rice hosted the Ultra Natural at Baldface Lodge, the first contest of it’s kind, combining a dreamscape run with built in super-enhanced freestyle features within a freeride backcountry snowboarding setting. As a symbol of Lib Tech’s partnership with Baldface, Lib’s legendary rider and artist Jamie Lynn took his fluid lines to one of the lodge’s snow cats with his classic cat.
