Mervin Manufacturing partners with gateway parks, and releases special edition Lib Tech Gateway, and GNU Gateway snowboards!
Mervin Manufacturing via Lib Tech and Gnu have teamed up with Gateway Parks to help make snowboarding more accessible with their special edition series of Gateway snowboards including the Lib Tech Gateway BTX and the Gnu Gateway Pickle PBXT. Each purchase of a Lib Tech and Gnu Gateway snowboard supports the ‘ride where you reside’ concept, and comes with a free Weekday Warrior pass to Gateway resorts, and a portion of the board sales goes directly to helping to build the Gateway Parks program.
“We are stoked on the Gateway Parks because they not only will they give kids an affordable and accessible way to ride near where they reside, it will also make snowboarding more accessible to people that have never ridden before. It is going to be a game changer in both the progression of snowboarding and bringing new people into the lifestyle of snowboarding and snow sports in general.” says Dan McNamara VP of Sales for Mervin Manufacturing.
Gateway Parks is on the forefront of creating urban shred oasis’ from currently existing city parks. With their initial project Hawk Island, in Lansing Michigan, they brought North America the first urban terrain park that operates a rope tow! Gateway has plans to develop additional parks including; Alpine Hills in Rockford, Illinois, the Eagle Sports Complex to be built just outside of Boise, ID, as well as long term plans to expand to other areas around the country. Bob Holme, Gateway Parks Marketing and Business Development says this of the partnership “Gateway Parks aims to re-inject the passion, fun, value, and the ease of snow sports for communities around the country. The concept is easy to understand, but committing to changing an industry is not. Mervin got it from our first conversation and has helped fine-tune the vision ever since.” To view the Gateway Parks program, future parks, or to contact them about the possibility of parks in your local area check out gatewayparks.com
