So we decided to occupy Mt Baker for the opening day… and we are glad to report: Nipple deep dry epic powder conditions! La Nina is back!
Here is a little POVid from Lib Tech Skunk Ape Trevor Phillips, with special guests Forrest Burki, Kurt Jenson, Jason Robinson, Pat McCarthry and other random baker shreds.
Here are a few snapshots to give you an idea of how rad it was.

Super fun times in Seattle on GSD :
Freedom Dolly’s, Lib Skates, rippers, a race, future scabs, big smiles, a sunny day and a heap of Seattle stoke for all things skating.

On April 11th and 12th a select crew of NW Mervin Mfg retailers / rad bros hitched a ride on the Grease Bus out to the Olympic Peninsula to tour the Mervin Mfg Factory and get some good old Olympic powder.
Mervin Mfg. has been making snowboards and skateboards in the great NW since 1987. Makers of Lib Technologies, Gnu and Roxy… we craft each by hand. Only 23 short miles from the factory is a mecca of powder and well earned runs leading back to the road where the Grease Bus was there to pick us up with petroleum free power. A perfect way to test a freshly made shred stick and get Experimental…

Timeline:
The Oregon crew were picked up in Portland for a tour up I5
Meet up at the Mervin Factory for a tour lead by Eco Mervin icon: Norm Nelson
A Skate sesh on the sidewalk pump humps to volcano

Hotel… black out…
Wake up. Some faster than others
Load the Grease Bus and off to Hurricane Ridge
Arrive to 8″ of powder and clear skies
Shredfest all day : Highlights : Riding the Hammock, corked straight airs, cornices, Maggies… and the Exit snowboard park…
To the PA skatepark to watch Ryan attempt to dive through the concrete…
Great times, good humans, US made snowboards… made by snowboarders and some of the best retailers on this planet.
