Boxes For Days, Mt. Hood 2011

The summer stop of the Boxes for Days tour touched down at High Cascade Snowboard Camp on Mt Hood for a day of boxes, bananas and Burtner. Thanks to HCSC, Lib Tech, GNU, Coal, Snowboarder Mag, Poler and Snowboy Productions for making it possible.

Ransack Rebellion: Boxes for Days…

By Ryan Davis

Here’s a little breakdown from the eyes of NW Reps I-Phone.
Summer time at Mt Hood, HCSC, Think Thank’s Ransack Rebellion, Boxes for Days… and big ollies on bananas.
Ransack was sick with standout parts from Lib riders: Jason Robinson, Jesse Burtner and Ted Borland.
HCSC is in full effect w/ plenty of snow on the hill and features for days
Boxes for Days went off with plenty of bananas and killer prizes for creativity…

Bananas were giving us fuel to ride bananas and then win the highest ollie contest at Americas Next Pro Model. Congrats Forest Bailey for proving you can accomplish anything with bananas.

Here are some hipsto nerd photos from “Go Skateboarding Day” 2011
Super fun times in Seattle on GSD :
Freedom Dolly’s, Lib Skates, rippers, a race, future scabs, big smiles, a sunny day and a heap of Seattle stoke for all things skating.

NW Mervin Factory Tour

On April 11th and 12th a select crew of NW Mervin Mfg retailers / rad bros hitched a ride on the Grease Bus out to the Olympic Peninsula to tour the Mervin Mfg Factory and get some good old Olympic powder.

Mervin Mfg. has been making snowboards and skateboards in the great NW since 1987. Makers of Lib Technologies, Gnu and Roxy… we craft each by hand. Only 23 short miles from the factory is a mecca of powder and well earned runs leading back to the road where the Grease Bus was there to pick us up with petroleum free power. A perfect way to test a freshly made shred stick and get Experimental…

Timeline:
The Oregon crew were picked up in Portland for a tour up I5
Meet up at the Mervin Factory for a tour lead by Eco Mervin icon: Norm Nelson
A Skate sesh on the sidewalk pump humps to volcano
A BB-Q with Temple Cummins and NW Rep Ryan Davis’ underground salmon sauce
Off to Port Angeles for beer drinking and sucking at pool
Hotel… black out…
Wake up. Some faster than others
Load the Grease Bus and off to Hurricane Ridge
Arrive to 8″ of powder and clear skies
Shredfest all day : Highlights : Riding the Hammock, corked straight airs, cornices, Maggies… and the Exit snowboard park…
To the PA skatepark to watch Ryan attempt to dive through the concrete…

Great times, good humans, US made snowboards… made by snowboarders and some of the best retailers on this planet.
Thanks for the support. Come up north any time // Cheers: Ryan and Tim w Mervin Mfg and Moonshine Distribution
