The NW Mervin crew went to host a demo at Mt. Bachelor and to check out the Dirksen Derby. I have to say: After 23 years of attending the Mt Baker LBS… the Dirksen Derby at Bachelor is an all time event that embodies what is special about our “anti” sport.

Well done Mr. Dirksen and all of the shred community in Bend. I’ll return every year

Lib Tech’s Downtown Throwdown made it’s first appearance in beautiful San Francisco. Nestled in between City Hall, the Library and the Asian Art Museum the event added snowboarding to the diverse culture of the region. And the riding was off the richter scale, new levels of insanity! Tricks were invented and small fortunes made, Dylan “Juggalito” Alito took the win with his axe wielding dominance. The summer stop of the Boxes for Days tour touched down at High Cascade Snowboard Camp on Mt Hood for a day of boxes, bananas and Burtner. Thanks to HCSC, Lib Tech, GNU, Coal, Snowboarder Mag, Poler and Snowboy Productions for making it possible.

Here’s a little breakdown from the eyes of NW Reps I-Phone.
Summer time at Mt Hood, HCSC, Think Thank’s Ransack Rebellion, Boxes for Days… and big ollies on bananas.
Ransack was sick with standout parts from Lib riders: Jason Robinson, Jesse Burtner and Ted Borland.
HCSC is in full effect w/ plenty of snow on the hill and features for days
Boxes for Days went off with plenty of bananas and killer prizes for creativity…

Bananas were giving us fuel to ride bananas and then win the highest ollie contest at Americas Next Pro Model. Congrats Forest Bailey for proving you can accomplish anything with bananas.
