LIB TECH experiMENTAL DIVISION INTRODUCES THE ALL NEW LIB TECH SKI LINE

Inspired by Anthony De Rocco, snow sports industry mogul and Mervin’s new CEO along with Bend Oregon’s Lucas Wachs, Lib Tech’s ExperiMENTAL Division has launched an all new ski line for 2016/17. A lifetime of ski experience, decades of experiMENTAL minded composite expertise and hands on youthful progressive ski energy has been built into these sticks. Each ski is handcrafted and shaped near Canada in the USA by skiers at Mervin MFG’s zero hazardous waste facility and features award-winning revolutionary MAGNE-TRACTION® serrated edge grip technology. Lib Tech’s high performance low swing weight Intelligent Design construction has NO HEAVY METAL IN THE TIPS AND TAILS replacing unnecessary steel with fast, rugged, lightweight, impact resistant UHMW. Built in an all new rugged ECO POWER construction featuring textured Poly top, environMENTALLY friendly sublimated graphics by Mike Parillo, sustainably harvested light and lively aspen cores and tough sintered bases.

“Lib tech is committed to bringing innovative American made ski technology to the market and this new line represents the power of the Lib tech team with its 30+ years of making cutting edge board sports composites right here in our backyard. It is an unbelievable honor to join the Mervin team and have a hand in re-launching the ski line. Working with the likes of Mike Olson, Pete Saari and Steve Cobb along with our stable of dedicated ski athletes has allowed us to bring a completely new and innovative line to market. The response has been unbelievable and we can’t wait for the world to give them a spin” Anthony De Rocco

Anthony De Roco -Mervin Mfg. CEO

“Mike and I grew up skiing, we built our company with inspiration from Bobby Burns and his hand made brand “The Ski” out of SunValley/Park City. We were fortunate enough have worked with Jamie Pierre for some great years, he loved our ski program and Magne-Traction®. Our dedication to building the worlds’ best skis honors his creative vision of what Lib Ski could be.” Pete Saari (Lib Tech / Mervin MFG Cofounder)

The new Lib Tech line takes inspiration directly from the Rippers that ski them. Lucas Wachs’ backcountry skatepark attack helped design the freestyle UFO 100 and 115 soft snow, long entry, low swing weight models. The Backwards Freestyle/Park and pipe model has been inspired and refined by Tahoe’s long time Lib Ripper Colby Albino. The all new Wreckreate all terrain series is inspired by legendary Mt Baker skier Tory Bland including the frontside focused 90, go everywhere focused 100’s and the 115 soft snow focused models. We’re also excited to collaborate with the Mt. Baker ski patrol on our all new asymmetrical 137 Megapow model to keep them ripping in world record snowfall.

“Super stoked to have my ski concepts come to life and be able to refine them to perfection. I just spent the past few weeks in BC on the new UFOs and they are skiing so great.” Lucas Wachs

Along with our new line we are proud to release Lib Ski Ripper Lucas Wachs’ full 2015/16 video part “Lucas Wachs Out of the Fog”. When faced with an almost non existent west coast winter Lucas didn’t wait around for perfect conditions. He went out everyday he could, fog, rain, shine, crust or pow and filmed this sick edit that will get you motivated to get in the air and leave your excuses at home!
