Colbee Smooth, the two-time Graphic designer of the year, was nearly arrested for public intoxication and vandalism after an incident at a hotel in Portland, TMZ first reported.

According to the Metropolitan Portland Police Department, Smooth allegedly tried to open his hotel room door with forehead at the Jupiter Hotel early Friday morning, forcing a couple guests to take him to the hospital for a dozen stitches.

Police say the professional skateboard and snowboard apparel designer fell and hit his head on a key pad as he tried to go to bed. WTVF-TV reports that he was treated for minor injuries at Baptist Hospital.

A picture released by Trevor Graves of the Portland Metropolitan Design Department shows Smooth with what appears to be a bruise over and under his left eye.

According to Aaron Draplin, Colbee was released from the hospital late Friday morning.

PORTLAND, OR. — Authorities say two-time graphic designer of the year Colbee Smooth has been charged with absolutely nothing but his friends have been giving him grief for days.
According to a police affidavit, Smooth tried to attack a hotel room door keypad that was spinning in circles. When the pad light refused to turn green Colbee “attempted to attack the keypad with his forehead” the keypad was unharmed and remains on active duty.
