Was stoked to find out Mervin factory was in Sequim , Washington as I visit family there regularly and recently started riding a GNU carbon credit last season.
So I just stopped by the factory last Wednesday, I teach at Butternut, Mass and a few instructors ride Mervin Boards. Figured I would get a "nice to meet ya but were kinda busy" You would of thought I just won a gold medal in the half pipe the way I was treated!!! I was introduced to "Norm" who promptly began a tour of the facility, This place is amazing, cores manufactured and sanded to specs on site, Graphics designed and printed on site, Boards glassed on site, and yes no B/S each board inspected in a separate building for quality control. Factory staff looked like they just stepped out of the park! Boards made by boarders for boarders, sorry not to many board companies can say that (no outsourcing here!)After this tour I can't see a reason to ever buy anything but a Mervin deck, Get up to Sequim and check it out yourself!
